Charley Harper

We just got this out of the library. My daughter is loving the animals I am loving the beautiful drawings!

The artist, Charley Harper, was based in Cincinnati and called his style "minimal realism". His subjects was nature; birds, deer, bugs and fish. Charley did a series of posters for the National Park Service that illustrated different areas and wildlife around the country.

Charley experienced a rise in popularity in 2007 when the Cincinnati Art Museum held a retrospective of his work. Fashion and Interior Designer Todd Oldham also put together a book called Charley Harper: An Illustrated Life.
