Time is flying. Last week was an unexpected vacation week with a sick little girl. when she was up to it we had lots of fun, when she wasn't I was forced to watch Handy Manny. By the way - I have since named all of my household tools so we are on a more personal basis. This week finds me back at work and still trying to figure out the ending of LOST. I am pretty sure it will take all week so I have allotted the time for it.What a great time for a giveaway! I have one copy of The Emergency Gift Book to pass onto a very lucky reader. This book is filled with fun, easy and inexpensive gift ideas like IOU coupons and quick DIY gifts. It is also a hysterical read.

When I was pregnant with my son (who is now 7 years old) my parents put together a diaper bag for me. Inside the diaper bag were the typical diapers, baby lotion, powder, ect. but my parents thought it would be funny to throw in a couple "off beat" items like those face masks that they wear in the hospitals and since we knew we were having a boy, a rain poncho.
The Emergency Gift book looks great! Thanks for the giveaway.

I am a 21 year old college student, and my grandmother gave me a sequined pumpkin shirt fit for a 6 year old for halloween.

My grandmother tends to send me things like rather old tea packets or old (written on) Christmas cards as presents.

I didn't receive or give this, but I was there when my aunt Jill received fake poop as a gift (and subsequently there when they used it on my grandma - hysterical - she thought it was real)

my mother in law gave me a slinky nightgown for my bridal shower... it's not so crazy but it's still uncomfortable.
I was given a plastic toy pig catapult. As a freshman in college. Ugh. omydarlingblog(at)gmail(dot)com
The craziest gift I have ever received was a box full of fake poop, fake spiders, and some dead flowers. All from my crazy little brother.
Sounds so fun. Thanks! joleehamlin at comcast dot net
I actually got a pet rock for graduation, but it was lovingly hand made so that made it okay :)

and my sister got me slang flash cards once. look them up. they are soooooo funny
I received a wedding picture frame...and was not getting married!
This book looks like a lot of fun!
The best gifts I get are definitely from my dad - not that they are crazy or anything, just very practical. For my 16th birthday, I got a set of jumper cables (even though I didn't have a car...) and when I went to college he got me a tool set. At the time, when I got the gifts I was like, ummm yeah thanks Dad, but now I've actually used both quite a lot (the cables come in handy now that I actually have a car!).

I can't think off the top of my head of a "hysterical" or really crazy gift. I did send a friend a smiley face 8 ball, only instead of fortune telling it had daily affirmations like "Your breath is so minty" and "You look marvelous"! Also as a practical joke, I express shipped him a piece of pizza with a rubber cockroach! (private joke)

My brother had taken to giving me the same birthday card, in the shape of a giant pickle, but he was unable to find the same card again this year, so as a gift I received a big jar of pickles. My daughter was in heaven!
Great giveaway!

My mother-in-law gave me silicone shoe coverings to help me walk in the snow for my birthday. They are from the south and I'm from Jersey. I told her we got a lot of snow, but she must think I get snow like in Alaska!
I made a birthday video for my mom this year where I was dancing all around my college campus with my roommates. She loved it.

Last Christmas my dad went a little crazy at the goodwill for all our presents. I got some of those home decor balls you see everywhere, and a couple of videos from the Left Behind series. "Ummm... are you trying to tell me something dad?" Thanks for the fun giveaway!

The craziest gift was a salmon colored sweatshirt with cat appliques on the front. I was 20 years old when it was given to me.

I was given a set of free samples of Mary Kay wrinkle creams for my birthday when I was still dealing with teen acne, not wrinkles from a sibling who thought it was a generous gift since you can never start wrinkle prevention too soon.
the silliest gift I ever received was from my boyfriend. He made a box out of leggos and when I began to deconstruct it I found a ring box inside.
